nFlow Mobile - a mobility suite for email, web, Blackberry and Windows Mobile Devices.

"Complete mobility solution with full version integration positions ‘nFlow mobile’ as the must have digital dictation mobility suite for 2007"
14th May 2007

nFlow, a leading supplier of digital dictation solutions today announced the pre-release of ‘nFlow Mobile’, a complete digital dictation mobility suite that will provide mobile digital dictation services across the web, email, Blackberry and Windows mobile devices. Central to this development is the anticipated integration capabilities of the nFlow core PDA offerings which are aimed to be fully compatible with other digital dictation workflow systems. Furthermore, the suite is expected to be extremely competitively priced and has received interest from a number of law firms.

nFlow, who are already recognised for their dedicated focus to research and development, have been working on the suite for the last 8 months, and have invested heavily in not only understanding the specific prerequisites of a firm but also in investigating the technical requirements and implications of a mobile digital dictation solution. To strengthen this nFlow have complemented their own core competencies in Microsoft technologies by working closely with very talented experts in the Windows Mobile and Blackberry arena.

The mobility suite will provide users with;

Tony Moxham, nFlow Technical Operations Director stated “We believe that nFlow is uniquely positioned as the only UK DDS supplier with the finances and facilities to reinvest significantly in R & D, furthermore it is a key nFlow strategy to invest in new technologies that will provide increasing numbers of service channels for both dictation and transcription. We are fully aware that certain components of the mobility suite are generic, having had discussions with developers  like PaperIQ who had already developed some of the components. We however recognised the benefits of taking time to plan our own development, investing time, money and technical expertise ensuring we deliver a premier solution to our customers..”

Moxham went on to comment ‘Another reason for ensuring a complete solution is the speed at which the mobility market is changing. This means you can have users on all number of devices and platforms each of which has different capabilities. The Blackberry operating software is a case in point.  To be able to dictate on a Blackberry you must have V4.2 of the Blackberry device operating system, this software is only on the 8100, 8800 and 8300 devices. This is not a great issue, but research highlighted that the majority of UK firms are using the 8700 as their preferred device. RIM released an upgrade for the 8700 at the end of April but currently there is only one carrier in the world providing this and they are not UK based. There is also an issue with Windows Mobile since there are devices that will not have the functionality to support dictation. nFlow have a reputation for providing strong straightforward technical advice so it is key that customers are aware that we have fully thought out the various options and consequently we can provide a well rounded and clear approach.”

nFlow have taken their research very seriously, working closely with a number of existing clients including Reynolds Porter Chamberlain to understand the technical and working practice requirements for such a suite to be of benefit to a firm. Rob Lancashire, nFlow Sales and Marketing Director commented “nFlow mobile, available from the summer, will be the most complete digital dictation mobility suite available on the market, in part thanks to the input of  people like Julie Berry, IT Director of law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain. Through market intelligence we were aware that our competitors were likely to announce a Blackberry client as it was something missing from the market however nFlow is a solid technology company that puts more emphasis on innovation than marketing.”
