One of the UK's major suppliers of advanced digital dictation software for law firms, nFlow, has signed a partnership agreement with leading systems solution house JM Computing. The partnership will see the two companies working closely together to deliver nFlow digital dictation to JM's existing and future customers. This also compliments nFlow's existing partnership with Mountain Software, as JM are Mountain's distribution partner in the North of England.
On the innovation front nFlow have developed, in conjunction with a Tikit/nFlow customer, a solution they are calling their DDS Wafer Client. The concept allows a fee earner to take dictations created on a portable device and remotely submit them to the nFlow digital dictation system for transcription from any PC with an Internet connection. Unlike thin client solutions or even some web-based solutions, absolutely no digital dictation software need be installed on the PC, not even device drivers for the portable voice recorder. It can all be done with standard Microsoft technology. This means that a fee earner could to go in to a hotel business centre or even an Internet caf and upload dictations, something that is usually impossible.
